Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. Trained counsellors are available to provide support via telephone, text or online chat. If they determine that you need urgent assistance, they will organise this. See here for website.

NSW Mental Health Line 1800 011 511
A free 24 hour service, run by NSW Health and staffed by Mental Health Professionals. Mental Health Professionals will link you to the appropriate Mental Health Team in your area and will ask you questions over the phone to help determine if you need urgent assistance or a specialised service. Please note that Carer Gateway is only able to provide services to individuals who live in particular areas, however alternative services are available for other areas.
